Does the PS5 come with a controller?
Yes. A new PS5 comes with one DualSense wireless controller in the box. VoltVault’s PS5 Disc Edition (the PS5 Slim, 1TB) includes one DualSense too, and it is in stock at $399 USD, open-box, never used.

One controller, not two. No charging station comes in the box, and the vertical stand is sold separately.
What Sony puts in a new PS5 box
PlayStation Direct’s PS5 1 TB page lists these items under What’s in the Box:
- PlayStation®5 console
- DualSense® Wireless Controller
- 1TB SSD (solid-state drive)
- 2 plastic stand feet to place the console horizontally
- HDMI® cable
- AC power cord
- USB cable
- User manual
- ASTRO's PLAYROOM (pre-installed game)
That is Sony’s list for a new console from Sony, read October 28, 2026. The DualSense is the only controller on it.
What our PS5 Disc Edition ships with
Our PS5 Disc Edition listing reads: “Includes DualSense wireless controller, power cable, HDMI cable and horizontal feet (vertical stand sold separately).” That is the list we ship against. The console is the PS5 Slim Disc Edition with 1TB of storage. It is open-box and has never been used.
The listing does not include a second controller, a charging station or a vertical stand, and this page does not add them. If an item on the listing is missing, email orders@shopvoltvault.com within 30 days of delivery and we refund the item price in full.
Does it come with a controller charger?
No charging station or wall charger is in the box. The DualSense has a built-in rechargeable battery. Sony’s DualSense support page says to connect the controller to the PS5 with the included USB cable to charge it, and it charges while the console is on or in rest mode.
Our listing names a power cable and an HDMI cable. It does not name a USB cable on its own line. If you want to know about the USB cable before you order, email orders@shopvoltvault.com and a person will answer.
Want a second controller?
A second DualSense is a separate purchase from Sony or another store. VoltVault does not sell controllers on their own, and this listing includes one. Two players on one PS5 need two controllers.
