Buying electronics with crypto — what people ask first
If the price of Bitcoin moves while my payment is confirming, do I owe more?
No. We fix the exchange rate at the moment your transfer hits the network — the timestamp on your own transaction, on a public ledger you can read as easily as we can — so whatever the chart does while it confirms is our problem, not yours. For scale: across the 350 hours to 27 July 2026 the median one-hour move in Bitcoin was 0.16% and the worst single hour was 1.86% — about $0.80 and $9.30 on a $500 order. On top of that, anything landing within 1% of your total or within $5 — whichever allowance is larger — is treated as paid in full and ships without an email. You will never be asked to top up because a price moved after you pressed send.
If I send something back, do I get crypto back or dollars?
Crypto refunds go back in the same coin to the sending wallet by default. Any reason, within 30 days of delivery. We don't convert your refund to dollars and we don't push you into store credit. One safeguard worth knowing before you order: if you need the money to go anywhere else, that request has to come from the email address on your order, quoting your order reference. A new address arriving in a fresh email is exactly how a refund gets stolen, so we don't act on one. If the item arrived dead or not as described we cover the return shipping too; if you simply changed your mind, the return postage is yours and the refund is still the full amount you paid.
Can I pay from a Coinbase or Kraken account, or does it have to be my own wallet?
Either works — the coin only has to arrive on-chain at the address checkout shows you. Two things exchanges do that a personal wallet doesn't. First, they take the network fee out of the figure you type, so read the "recipient gets" line rather than the box you typed in; that is the number that has to match your total. Second, if you funded the account from a linked bank the deposit is usually held for days before you can withdraw anything . Withdrawal availability depends on the provider, account checks, payment method and location. Check that you can send the crypto before buying it. And because a refund goes back to the address that paid, if that address is an exchange deposit address it's worth raising from the email address on your order so the destination is agreed up front rather than after the fact.
Which coins and networks do you actually confirm payments on?
BTC on the Bitcoin network; ETH on Ethereum mainnet; USDC or USDT on Base; USDC or USDT on Ethereum mainnet; USDC or SOL on Solana; USDT on TRON. Bitcoin has to be plain on-chain BTC to the bc1 address — Lightning and wrapped BTC can't reach it. The one case nothing warns you about: our 0x address is also technically valid on Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and the other EVM chains, and those are the ones we can't confirm, so pick the network by name on the withdrawal screen instead of taking your app's default. If you're sending a stablecoin and the choice is yours, pick Base — it's the same dollar to us and the network fee you pay is a small fraction of a mainnet send. Every address and network is rendered on the checkout page over HTTPS; we will never message you a different one.
