You send the request from the Airtel app, enter the phone's 32-digit EID, confirm an OTP and a verification call, then download the eSIM profile on the phone. Airtel says the request is cancelled if the profile is not set up within 4 hours, and that SMS stays barred for 24 hours after the request completes, OTPs included.
- Jio. Jio's eSIM page has you send the request from the MyJio app, with an email address that must already be on your account. You enter the phone's EID and an OTP, wait through a 2-hour cooling period that Jio attributes to DoT guidelines, and confirm on an automated call. Jio says the request takes 2 hours to process after that.
Neither page names the iPhone Duo or says anything about US-model phones, so we can't promise that Airtel, Jio or any other carrier will activate this phone.
