eSIM, carriers and “will it work in my country?”
Both phones we sell are US models with eSIM only. Apple lists the iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro Max as dual eSIM (two active eSIMs; stores eight or more) and not compatible with physical SIM cards, so there is no SIM tray. Before you buy either one:
- Ask your carrier for an eSIM. Your carrier has to issue it, usually by QR code, through its app or as a transfer in Settings. Many carriers do; some prepaid and smaller carriers don't. Apple lists the carriers and worldwide providers that offer eSIM on iPhone, country by country.
