Xbox Series X or Series S from the US: which to buy if you live abroad, and how to pay with crypto

Four things that change outside the US
### 1. Your internet decides more than your TV
The Series S has no disc drive. Every game is a download, often tens of gigabytes. On a slow, shared or capped connection that means long waits and a full drive. The Series X installs from disc, holds more games on its 1TB drive, and lets you buy, trade or resell physical games.
### 2. Power and plugs
Read the input rating printed on the console label, or ask us before you pay, and compare it with your local mains supply. A plug adapter changes the plug shape. It does not change the voltage or frequency. The Series X and Series S both take a standard detachable power cord, so in many countries a local cord of the same type replaces a plug adapter. ### 3. Your Microsoft account country, not the console, sets your store
The Microsoft Store, Game Pass and cloud gaming follow the country on your Microsoft account. Check that your country is on Xbox's supported regions list (xbox.com/regions) before you buy. Sign in with your existing account and your store, subscriptions and library follow you. Xbox Series games are not region-coded the way many DVDs and standard Blu-ray movies are, so check a movie disc's region code before buying it.
