What Sony charges for the PS5 Pro
- $899.99 now. Sony's price post lists the PS5 Pro at $899.99 in the US from April 2, 2026.
- $699.99 at launch. Sony's launch announcement (September 10, 2024) gave $699.99 USD as the US launch price and said: "PS5 Pro will launch on November 7, 2024" and "It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro's Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase."

So a new PS5 Pro from Sony is not under $600. Ours is the same 2TB console, open-box and never used, at $579 USD.
Under $600 and not used
Searches for a PS5 Pro under $600 often turn up used consoles. Ours is open-box, never used: the retail box has been opened, so we do not sell it as factory-sealed, but nobody has played on it and nothing was repaired. If you compare it with a used PS5 Pro elsewhere, ask that seller about wear and returns; ours has a 30-day money-back guarantee from delivery.
No disc drive in the box
Sony's launch announcement says the PS5 Pro "is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately." That is true of ours too: the $579 price is for the console, a DualSense controller and cables. A listing that bundles a disc drive is a different offer, so compare like with like.
